At Drift Sound Studios we offer a wide range of recording options to ensure that your recording meets your expectations. These services include:

RATES

We offer a base recording rate of $40/hour, capped at $400/day*. This allows musicians to enter the studio with a set budget and not run over that budget. If a session runs 12 or 13 hours, you will still only be charged the capped rate.

In addition to this, we will not charge extra for tweaks to your mix*. After you've listened to your CD, we'll make minor mix adjustments free of charge to ensure your recording sounds as good as possible.

At Drift, we're musicians, just like you. We know what it's like to try to budget for studio time. Because of this, for larger projects, we're happy to negotiate a price that benefits all parties involved. Email us or call for details.

* Obligatory Fine Print

  • The amount of time spent working on a project, past the initial 10 hours, is at the discretion of Drift Sound Studios. Drift will make every attempt to be fair and give your project the attention it deserves. However, the client must be realistic with what they expect from their recording and their time in the studio. (For example, it will probably take longer to record one song than you realize. Don't expect to be working in the studio until 3AM. The engineers need sleep. Realize that your equipment may not sound exactly the same on a recording as it does live, and no amount of mixing can change that.)
